artists from around the globe. This organization fought for the democratization of urban spaces and the decriminalization
of graffiti practitioners." An earlier edition of the set was issued by the Coalition in 2004.

From Booklyn website: This organization fought for the democratization of urban spaces and the decriminalization of graffiti
practitioners. Their mission statement is, "The God Bless Graffiti Coalition, Inc. was founded in 2000 in Chicago in order
to combat growing national and international anti-graffiti trends. We feel the time has come that people stand up against
the massive misuse of public monies diverted towards graffiti abatement. Instead of spending millions to maintain the dull
monotony of the urban landscape and to criminalize creative youth, the Coalition supports the work of graffiti writers, street
artists, and their allies around the globe".... One of the major exhibitions of the God Bless Graffiti Coalition was the acclaimed
"Interventionists" show at MASS MoCA in North Adams Massachusetts in 2004. This project was aimed at integrating graffiti
and public art into more traditional cultural venues. After an open call to graffiti artists, 235 artists' pieces were featured
on a 30 foot by 90 foot wall, titled "The 8th Day Wall", at the museum. This created an inclusive space that democratized
a major art institution, pioneering art in the public sphere.
